Holy shit do I feel behind. *sigh* With everything. It doesn’t help that I come back from vacation & go directly back to 5 days a week at work. And bills are do now. But payday isn’t now. Juggling act, for sure, because lovely SM takes out a shitload of cash and then proceeds to use the ATM. Ummm, hello – one or the other! And his argument of putting the cash back in the bank when we get home never works out because you always end up spending some of that cash & that equals spending more than you figured, more than you should & less for bills. Gah! Boys!

The river was fun. Different kind of crowd and some of the things I was concerned about (mainly regarding SM) ended up happening making me bitter most of the time. I couldn’t just let it slide off my shoulders and have a good time. Probably didn’t help at all that I started & was punctuating the whole time there. Damn PMS moodiness. Monsoon-ed a day & tore the awning off the motorhome, rained another day with what felt like 100% humidity. Other days almost as humid too. Mosquito bombing nightly so you’re itchy the whole time…can you tell I didn’t have the best time, lol? Oh well – it’s over & done with. Move on with life.

SM & I had a much needed talk Sunday morning before getting out of bed. Maybe one day, I’ll get into my personal issues here. I got way into them in my other diary, but I’m still holding back in this one, for some reason. *shrugs shoulders* Right now, I feel like “Hey, now he knows. What he does from here on out is his choice and he can’t say down the road – how did that happen??” It’s something I lightly discussed with him about a year or so ago. Actually, something that is always there because I am a pretty placant girl. I don’t need a lot of attention but what ends up happening is that I slowly get no attention. Turns into me emotionally extricating myself from him. That turns into me feeling like we’re roommates & desiring more from someonewhere else. That whole what could be situation.

Doh – see, I’m getting into it, aren’t I? This would be pages long if I kept going and exploring my feelings and right now, just don’t have it in me. That’s for one of those days I’m alone, you know? Suffice to say that 16yrs with the same person requires work and a conscious effort to keep things fresh, to not fall into the vicious cycle of boredom monotony in every aspect of the relationship. Could I imagine my life without SM? No. Could I imagine it with someone (no one in particular – just that exciting feeling of a new relationship – you know!) else in it? …

I’m getting back into working out. Kinda slacked the past few weeks. I’m not entirely sure what I will do about that when I start working OT hours. I think once I work FT hours, SM will wait for me and we’ll eat dinner first and then go about 7ish. But once I don’t get home until then – that’s the problem area.

Still no job for WAM. Not even going there right now.

1. What is the worst/corniest pick up line someone has used on you and/or you used? “Is that Windex in your pants because I can see myself in them” – yeah, I got that one. Classy, heh?
2. Have you ever gone out on a date with someone and went home with someone else? Explain. No, not that I can remember. But maybe, lol.

3. What is the worst thing (spread a rumor, hook up with their SO, etc…) that you did to a friend? Did they do anything to deserve it? Maybe something in highschool that I don’t remember. I don’t have a gaggle of friends…friends to me are very close people and true friends. I keep my circle of those fairly small.
4. What is your favorite sex scene in a regular movie (not porn)? Why? I’m a visual person so there’s lots. Too early in the morning for me to pick one, lol.
5. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be? What would you change on your SO? I hate my saddlebags. But other than physical crap, I’d probably say that I wish I was one of those cheerleader personalities that everyone loved. But I can’t fake it – I’m not going to pretend to be your best friend if I don’t like you. You know?

SO? He IS one of those people that gets along with everyone and everyone loves him, but he’s not two-faced…and people sense that. The downside is that he gets used a lot if he’s not careful. I mean, he’s been around long enough to know when someone is doing it, but it still doesn’t make you feel good.

Bonus (as in optional): What countries, other than your own, have you had sex in? Was it someone on the trip with you? Someone from that country? I’ve only been to TJ (Mexico) and there’s no way in Hell I am getting nekkid there!

Like any ‘human’ mom, a mom knows when her family is complete and when it’s not.  Mine was not, despite SM’s pleas, lol.  There was one missing…it didn’t matter if it was a cat or dog (much like it doesn’t matter if it’s a boy or a girl), but we weren’t a complete family yet.  So on the prowl I went for a tiny dog.  And tiny dogs I’ve never done, but I knew I didn’t want Tejah feeling like we were replacing her so another normal sized dog was out of the question.  And I wasn’t going to go out & buy just a tiny dog.  I knew the right one would come when it was fated to be.  And I knew that if you were a boy, you would be named Cerveza, the only animal in my whole.entire.life that I had named before I even had.I heard about you, but that someone else had dibbs on you.  I hadn’t seen you yet. 

Then our friend Karen called weeks & weeks & weeks later saying that the person fell thru and you were available again.  Sight unseen, I told Karen you were MINE.  I knew you were part chi & that you would be tiny, that’s all that mattered to me at this point.  And I think because I really have never cared what my animals look like, that that’s the reason I am blessed with such great creatures.  When Karen told me you were tan (YES!) and a boy (YES!), I was so excited to see you that she had to go next door & take a picture on her phone & email to me. 

And that’s when SM’s heart melted.  We had to wait 4 more weeks for you to be old enough to leave your birth home & it was agonizing.You were the size of my phone when I first saw you and you have now grown to barely 5lbs.  I can’t believe that you turned a year in March already!  Everyone is mesmerized by your cute, foxy looks, lol.  You have turned our opinion 360 degrees the other way in regards to tiny dogs.  Never have we laughed so much at an animal.  And boy do you love.  You are all about us, but fiercely independent too.  You think you are 3ft tall and 50lbs, you’re lucky that Fat Black Momma watches over you like a hawk, Mister.

May you live a long, long time, because the day you leave us is the day I lose my heart.

WAM had a quick interview so I was able to sneek in a few photo ops.  I have quite a few HNTs saved up for now.  I was worried, w/her being here all the time, that I would  not be able to take more and stock up my supply.  No worries for now.

SM has a CPR refresher course tonight after work all the way down in North County, where we used to live.  I expect to see him around 8ish tonight.  Need to find something to keep me busy for the rest of the day after the A/C furnace guys comes (replacing the old one).  Ho-Hum, I am trying not to spend any money so that means staying home.  We’ll see how that goes.    Onto my third beebee & soon I will be done.  I can’t just stop without saying something about each one, now can I?  I would feel like a terrible momma!

A new house that we could anything we wanted in and my new baby clock was ticking.  It had been a long, long time since we had a baby and I was seriously jonesing.  I looked everywhere for free kittens, but apparently, I was in the wrong season, lol.  I knew PetSmart had a woman who brought animals & adopted them out every Saturday so on one of them,  WAM & I headed down.  I didn’t see any kittens!!  Oh wait, there was ONE and it was YOU.  You were sleeping and seemed very content.  No worries.

And that is how you are.  You are so easily mollified, you go with the flow, no stress.  I think you are just happy to have a home that loves you!  Bonk was your friend from day one (until he realized you weren’t leaving, lol!) calling out to you when you went out of his eye-sight.  You are super friendly and I feel badly because you demand such little time, I forget that it’s been a few days since I petted  you!  This makes me feel really guilty   What’s that saying, “The squeaky wheel gets the grease?”  Well, I guess you just don’t require any…grease.  But when a hand does touch, oh how your body arches up to it and melts into the hand.  You’re hilarious too and always have us laughing at your antics.

I admit, the first 8 months were trying with you.  Not because of anything you did, but because of your tummy problems.  Mike was so frustrated with the mess you left but I was NOT going to give you up.  I took you in and I vowed to give you a home until the day you die, and that’s what I was going to do and I’m SO glad I didn’t give up on you.  You are my Big Fat Black Momma, my little Schmoo.  You love everything and don’t have a mean bone in your body.

Bonk was 6yrs old and we finally moved into a home that had a nice, big fenced yard.  Dog time!!  *I* knew all about puppies, but SM hadn’t a clue.  I am a cat person, by heart, but it was time for some protection.  Little did I know what was in store for me.  My WAM and I were at Ralph’s and some lady had a truckbed full of puppies.  I made the mistake of peering inside and instantly fell in love with you, the runt of the litter.  I told the lady I’d be back after I went home & talked to my husband.  She probably didn’t think she’d see me return.

I called SM and he said yes, readily, to my surprise.  I went back & paid the lady $40.  I didn’t know if you were a boy or a girl, I just had to have *you*.  OMG you were so frickin’ adorable and SUCH a good girl from the first moment I touched you!  Never have you ever, ever peed or shit in the house.  You are such an agreeable lady, wanting only to please us and make sure we still love you, lol.

I had a hard time naming you.  It had to be perfect.  I don’t know where Tejah came from.  I knew I didn’t like the spelling Tasia tho so I looked back on my Arabian horse experience and spelled it Tejah.  Most people see your tag and say “tay-ha”.  “No, it’s Asia with a T”, I say.

You *LURVE* your toys and love catching the Frisbee.  God forbid if any other animal comes close to that or your ball.  You listen to everything we say, you’re so smart and make us so proud that you are such a good dog.  You may look like you mostly have the Rottie in you, but anyone who meets you instantly knows the Lab is in your heart.  (I think the only part the Shepherd went to is your tail!)

You’re getting up there in age, old bag, and we know it will be a sad, SAD day for us.  We see you limp around with stiff hips and your belly getting fatter, but we still love you, Tejah.
